Dr. Daniels is a Board-Certified spine surgeon who specializes in complex spinal disorders such as scoliosis, kyphosis, flatback syndrome, failed spinal surgery, degenerative spinal disease, as well as spinal trauma and spinal tumors.

Phillip Lucas, M.D.

Phillip R. Lucas, M.D., is a specialist in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery. The majority of his patients suffer from pain and disorders involving the neck and lower back. Spinal disorders may include a variety of problems, from pain to severe injuries and deformities.

Alexander Robertson, M.D.

Dr. Alexander Robertson treats all disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His special interests include biologic enhancement of bone fusion, minimally invasive spinal procedures, and total disc replacement.

Craig P. Eberson, M.D,

Dr. Eberson specializes in the treatment of orthopaedic disorders in children. His main clinical interests lie in the treatment of scoliosis and other spinal disorders, congenital or acquired problems of the lower extremities in children, and pediatric fracture care.

Matthew J. Smith, M.D., EMHL

Dr. Smith is a Physician Leader with over 20 years of experience in health delivery systems with a background in performance measurement, health policy and interdisciplinary teams caring for populations of patients with orthopedic conditions.

Dominic Thomas Kleinhenz, M.D.

Dr. Kleinhenz is a spine surgeon who specializes in a wide range of spinal conditions. Dr. Kleinhenz treats patients with neck and back problems. His practice focuses on patients who suffer from disc herniation, degenerative cervical, thoracic, and lumbar disease, spine trauma, and spine deformity.

David Bica, DO, CAQSM, FAAFP, CIME

Dr. Bica is board certified in Family Medicine with a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine. Dr. Bica’s other interests include sports medicine research, osteopathic manipulative medicine in treatment of neck and lower back pain, fluoroscopic spinal injections, and diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Philip Anthony Salko, M.D., FAAFP, CAQSM

Dr. Salko specializes in primary care sports medicine and interventional pain management utilizing ultrasound, fluoroscopy and other non-invasive modalities. He has advanced training in regenerative medicine techniques such as “Platelet Rich Plasma” injections and continues teach on the subject.

Shiqiang Tian,  M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Shiqiang “Chris” Tian is a University Orthopedics physician specialized in treating headache, spinal, musculoskeletal, post-surgical, neuropathic, cancer, and visceral pain. Through his rigorous training, Dr. Tian is able to perform advanced pain management solutions such as epidural steroid injection, radiofrequency nerve ablation, spinal cord stimulation, intra-thecal drug delivery system, and vertebral augmentation.

George Pasquarello, DO, FAAO, CAQPM

Dr. Pasquarello practiced Neuromusculoskeletal and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at East Greenwich Spine & Sport since 2004. He previously worked as a clinical specialist at Maine Spine and Rehabilitation.

John K. Czerwein JR., MD

Dr. Czerwein specializes in the treatment of orthopaedic spinal disorders in adult and adolescent patients. Treating all disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.

Hand and Wrist

Edward Akelman, M.D.

Dr. Akelman is the Chairman of the Orthopaedic departments at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital. He has expertise in caring for common hand problems such as Dupuytren’s disease, hand fractures, sports injuries, arthritis and nerve problems of the hand, wrist and elbow.

Arnold-Peter C. Weiss, M.D.

Dr. Weiss is an internationally recognized hand surgeon specializing in hand and wrist reconstruction with a special interest in finger and wrist joint replacement surgery.

Gwynne Bragdon, MD

Gwynne Bragdon, M.D. is a practices at the Department of Orthopedics at Middletown. Dr. Bragdon specializes in the care of patients with injuries to the upper extremity including fracture care, arthritis, tendonitis, and peripheral nerve injuries, and microvascular surgery.

Manuel F. DaSilva, M.D.

Dr. DaSilva specializes in the treatment of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions related to the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Specifically, he has expertise in caring for carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures of the hand, wrist and elbow, arthritis and joint replacement.

Julia Ann Katarincic, MD

Dr. Katarincic specializes in care of the hand and microvascular surgery for children and adults. Her chief areas of clinical practice interest include arthritis of the hand, congenital hand anomalies, microsurgery, brachial plexus injuries, and peripheral nerve injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome and fractures.

Dr. Got has special interest in upper extremity trauma, joint replacement, nerve compression syndromes and arthroscopy.

Joseph Izzi, Jr., M.D

Dr. Izzi is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions related to the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. He specifically will treat carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist fractures, and fractures of the hand and upper extremity and peripheral nerve injuries.

Andrew Green, M.D.

Dr. Green is the Chief of the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Each year he evaluates more than one thousand new patients and performs over 400 arthroscopic, reconstructive, joint replacement, and trauma surgeries for a broad spectrum of shoulder and elbow disorders.

E. Scott Paxton, M.D.

Dr. Paxton is a member of the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Typically, he evaluates and treats include rotator cuff tears and impingement, shoulder and elbow instability and dislocations, shoulder and elbow arthritis, fractures, and other sports injuries of the upper extremity.

Foot and Ankle

Raymond Hsu, M.D.

Dr. Hsu is fellowship trained in orthopedic trauma and foot and ankle surgery treating conditions such as fractures, ligament injuries, cartilage injuries, Achilles and other tendon injuries, ankle and foot arthritis, as well as foot and toe deformities.

Brad Blankenhorn, M.D.

Dr. Blankenhorn specializes in the treatment of common and complex disorders of the foot and ankle. His practice focuses on reconstructive surgery for deformity and degeneration in the foot and ankle, as well as the treatment of acute and subacute traumatic injuries to the foot and ankle.

Dr. Froehlich specializes in the areas of adult reconstructive surgery and sports medicine. Many of his procedures are done with the arthroscope or with newer minimally invasive techniques allowing for more rapid rehabilitation and return to a normal lifestyle.

Eric Cohen, M.D.

Dr. Cohen is a fellowship-trained Adult Reconstruction and Trauma Orthopedic Surgeon with a special focus on direct anterior total hip replacement, complex total hip replacements after trauma, partial knee replacements, total knee replacements and periprosthetic fractures and infections.

Richard M. Terek, M.D.

Dr. Terek a specialist in adult reconstructive surgery and musculoskeletal oncology. He is also an expert in the treatment of patients with osteogenic sarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, chondrosarcoma, soft-tissue sarcoma, metastatic cancer, and benign bone and soft tissue tumors.

Roy Kenneth Aaron, M.D.

Dr. Aaron is a specialist in arthritis and metabolic bone disease. He performs arthroscopic and other procedures for joint preservation in arthritis. Also, he spends a substantial amount of time in the laboratory and is doing research into osteoarthritis and cartilage transplantation using stem cells for joint resurfacing.

Dr. Antoci is a Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus in Adult Reconstruction, Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgery and a special interest in unicompartmental partial knee replacement, minimally invasive surgery, complex reconstructions, failed total joints, preservation techniques, and trauma.

Dr. Jenkins specializes in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee, with a focused interest in primary surgery including direct anterior total hip replacement, gap balanced total knee replacement, and partial knee replacement; outpatient total joint replacement without the need for an overnight hospital stay.

His medical practice is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis, a disease that currently affects millions of people in the US. Paul D. Fadale, M.D.

Dr. Fadale is Chief of that Division of Sports Medicine. He is the team doctor for the Providence Bruins, Brown Athletics, and the Providence Festival Ballet.

James O. Maher III, MD

Dr. Maher is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. He specializes in the treatment of student, recreational and professional athletes. His comprehensive approach to treatment includes medication, activity modification, physical therapy or surgery. Dr. Maher uses the arthroscope to do minimally invasive surgery of shoulders, knees and ankles.

Brett D. Owens, M.D.

Dr. Owens is a fellowship-trained, board certified orthopedic sports medicine surgeon, specializing in arthroscopic repair of sports-related injuries as well as complex knee and shoulder reconstructions. He is currently Team Physician for Brown University and the Providence Bruins.

Peter Kriz M.D.

Dr. Kriz’s research interests include injury prevention in youth sports and sport-related concussion. He currently provides team physician responsibilities to student-athletes at Brown University and several area high schools, and concussion management for the Providence Bruins Professional Hockey Team.

Ramin Tabaddor, M.D.

Dr. Tabaddor treats a wide range of sports related injuries, both surgical and nonsurgical, and he has had specialized training in hip arthroscopy. He has a special concentration in hip and pelvic-related disorders including femoroacetabular impingement, gluteus medius tears, athletic pubalgia and iliopsoas tendon tears.

Aristides I. Cruz, Jr. MD, MBA

Dr. Cruz is a Pediatric Orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of orthopaedic conditions in children and adolescents. His areas of interest include traumatic injuries and fracture care, treatment of pediatric and adolescent sports related conditions, and general pediatric orthopaedics.

Andrew Evans, M.D,

Dr. Evans is a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Division of the Department of Orthopaedics at Rhode Island Hospital. His research interests include the treatment of complex traumatic injuries to the extremities and pelvis, particularly open fractures, as well as the basic science of fracture healing.
